Cons: Wish you could make more than 4 cups at a time Iced Cappuccino is all the rage now a days. And like so many others my husband and I became 'addicted' to the stuff.

Cuisinart Iced Cappuccino And Hot Espresso

We were spending close to $50.00 a month to to get our 'fix'.When this machine came out both our eyes lite up. We thought WOW if we got that machine we could make our own, we could maybe save money too. So I set out one day in search for the marvelous machine. When I got it home I couldn't wait until I got it open, just so I could make our first pot. I eagerly opened up the box, read the very useful manual that comes with it and did everything step by step.

It's really no harder than making a regular pot of coffee.First you pour water in the water chamber, which is clearly marked for 2 cups or 4. Then you add your coffee grounds ( ground fine like you were making hot cappuccino) to it's container, place that on top of the water chamber. On top of that is where you add the milk, which is also marked for 2 or 4 cups. Put ice in the pitcher for either 2 or 4 cups again. Plug the machine in, turn the little knob on top of the machine to heat, and push the on/off button.

Lego city space launch game hacked. Heating time of the water is around one minute, and a red light on the front of the machine tells you that it's heating. Once the water is hot enough a green light will come on, and you will hear a slight fan noise as the coffee starts to flow out of the machine and into the pitcher. At this time you then turn the same knob you turned to heat in the beginning to dispense milk, and the milk will start to flow. After it's done brewing the machine will shut off by itself or you can just push the on/off button.

All total from start to finish it takes around 5 minutes. About one minute to heat the water, another minute for it to dispense into the pitcher. The other three would be for the prep work. Clean up is just as easy. The pitcher, milk contanier, coffee holder, and the drip tray are all top rack dish washer safe.

Or they are easily cleaned with soap and water in your sink. So we did it, we made our first pot of iced cappuccino at home. How did it taste right? Well I will honestly say that our first pot was good, but it didn't taste like what we were use to. For me it wasn't sweet enough, but with a little time and kind of changing the instructions a bit, our next pot tasted even better. You see they say to put any flavorings in the pitcher ( ie. Sugar, chocolate syrup, etc.) I found out the when you put the sugar in there it doesn't 'melt' very well and no amount of stirring helps.

You end up with a glob of sugar on the bottom and not in your cup. So I solved this by adding the sugar in with the coffee grounds.

Doing it that way melts the sugar, and you have a perfect tasting cappuccino. The machine also comes with it's own measuring scoop.

And if you grind your own beans two scoops of whole beans, grinds up to just the right amount for 4 cups of cappuccino. All in all the machine is a good buy for the money. It takes up no more room than your standard coffee maker.

If your willing to take the time to brew your own iced cappuccino and like to experiment with different flavors of coffee then this machine is for you. Plus by brewing your own you can watch your fat content by using no fat milk instead of whole. We've had our machine for over a year now and in a months time it has paid for itself. My only dislikes would be that I wish you could make more than just 4 cups at a time.

But as long as your not serving a crowd than 4 cups is just the right amount.
