Intel R 4 Series Express Chipset Family Games
I just got a Lenovo 3000 N500 laptop with 2 Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family graphics cards. 256MB each I believe. How good are they for high-end gaming? Need Windows 8 Driver to support OpenGL V.1.2 or higer for Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset I. Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
Original Title: Need Windows 8 Driver to support OpenGL V.1.2 or higer for Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset I purchased a 2 year old Dell laptop computer and upgraded it to Windows 8. In order to play may games it needs a version of OpenGL v1.1 or higher but Intel does not plan to create drivers for its video chipset Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family as it is an older chipset. Intel suggests checking Windows to see if there is a video driver update that will allow Windows 8 to run OpenGL v1.1 or higher with that chipset but I cannot find one on the Windows support site. I have downloaded the latest driver package from the Intel site for the chipset but it only installs OpenGL v1.0.
