A quick tutorial on How to install Exile mod for Arma 3 manually. Hope you find this useful. The mod page: You can find me in.
Instructions: Manually repair BattlEye for Arma 3 - posted in Arma 3 Exile: Historically. And I'll update the post. Update an Existing ArmA 3 Epoch Server. This is due to the fact that Steam defines a fixed update process which makes errors. You will need to update manually.
Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in: 32-Bit - C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/ 64-Bit - C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/ After extraction it should look like this: Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/@modname Pictured Example: You can also use the 'Arma 3 Alpha' folder in your 'My Documents' folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this: mydocuments Arma3 Alpha @yourmodfoldername mydocuments Arma3 Alpha @yourmodfoldername mydocuments Arma3 Alpha @yourmodfoldername Place the 'userconfig' (if present) folder into your game install folder, usually: 'C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common Arma 3'. You'll also need add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in: -mod=@modname For using multiple mods you would then do so like this: -mod=@modname;@modname2;@modname3;@modname4;@modname5 Pictured Example: Now simply run the game and enjoy your mod. I'm having a hard time getting some mods to work. I've played ARMA for years and know how to create mod folders and activate them in steam using the -mod=@modfoldername. For some reason not all the mods are working this way.
The mods that are not working mostly seem to be new units/weapons/etc. If I take the mod files and put them directly into the Addons folder in ARMA 3 directory, they work just fine. However I really don't want to use the mods this way. Is there any reason at all why they wouldn't work normally? I've even tried opening each mod folder, creating a 'Addons' folder to put all the mod files in. Help, please!
